Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of web-based E-Learning learning media in civic education lessons on the learning outcomes of Class VI students at SDN 122347 Silomangi Pematangsiantar when compared to conventional learning applied at the school. The research method used in this research is a quasi-experimental research method with the research sample being class VIA and VIB SDN 122347 Silomangi Pematangsiantar. The research design used was a pretest-posttest control group design. Different tests were conducted to measure differences in the effectiveness of web-based E-Learning learning media and conventional learning media based on the criteria for learning outcomes. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of web-based E-Learning learning media is in the medium criteria, namely with a normalized gain index of 0.54, the effectiveness of conventional learning media is in the medium criteria, namely with a normalized gain index of 0.30 and an increase in learning outcomes with E learning media. - Learning is better than the increase in learning outcomes of conventional learning media on the material for Presentation Maker Software VI SDN 122347 Silomangi Pematangsiantar. Based on the results of the t test of the average value of learning outcomes obtained > (2.870 > 1.672), and the significance value (P) is 0.006 < (0.05), thus is rejected and is accepted. This proves that the web-based E-Learning learning media is effective for improving student learning outcomes in the material for Presentation Maker Software VI SDN 122347 Silomangi Pematangsiantar.
