Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between student perceptions and teacher abilities in managing classes with learning achievement in economics lessons in class XI of private high schools throughout Siantar Barat District in the 2019/2020 academic year. The problem in this study is the relationship between Student Perceptions and Teacher's Ability in Managing Classes with Learning Achievement in economics lessons in class XI of private high schools throughout Siantar Barat District for the 2019/2020 academic year. The population in this study were all class XI private high schools in Siantar Barat sub-district as many as 560 people. The samples studied were 113 people. This research was conducted in private high schools in Siantar Barat District. The research instrument used to collect data on the relationship between student perceptions and teacher abilities in managing the classroom was a closed questionnaire, while data on economic learning achievement was obtained through a study test compiled by the researcher. The quality of this research instrument was assessed based on validity and reliability tests. The data collected is tested whether it is normally distributed or not by using the chi squared data normality test. Data on the relationship between Student Perception and Teacher Ability in Managing Class with Learning Achievement is normally distributed. The next step is to test the hypothesis by calculating the average linear regression equation = a + bX, so that the upper Y regression is = 34.37 + (-0.02) and the upper Y regression is = 25.84 + (0.04) while multiple regression is used multiple regression in the equation = -0.94 + 0.13 + 0.11 . For analysis accuracy, regression linearity test is used for each equation and using a list of Variance analysis (ANOVA) through the f test, it turns out that Y is above and Y is above, as well as the Y regression is all linear so there is no need to look for a non-linear model.
