Abstract

This research has deal with the students’ lack in improving vocabulary by online correspondent in SMA Swasta Cerdas Bangsa. This result based on their daily study in their English book at the school. The purpose of this research is how to know the students’ lack in improving vocabulary through their daily study at the school and what the students’ difficulties when improving English language. The study was a descriptive qualitative research that used simple sampling to take the sample. It means the samples of this research were 20 students of 30 students at the tenth science grade of senior high school CerdasBangsa. To collect the data, the writer used an online test (Google form), that contain the revealed questions on their English book study. The test consists from multiple choice and essay questions. The writer findings revealed that the percentage of the students’ lack in improving vocabulary related with their English book study, like: knowing the meaning of word, finding the expression, and getting synonyms. So, the research result of students at tenth science grade of senior high school Cerdas Bangsais dominant difficult tin finding the expression of conversation that founded in the third session.
