PENGARUH REKRUTMEN DAN KOMPENSASI TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN PADA PERUSAHAAN SWASTA DI MEDAN

This study aims to analyze the influence of recruitment and compensation on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously, in private companies in Medan. The population in this study were employees from various private company sectors in Medan. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method, with a sample size of 60 employees. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed online and offline. Data analysis method used multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS 25 software. The hypothetical results of this study show that: (1) The Recruitment variable (X1) has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance (Y). (2) The Compensation variable (X2) has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance (Y). (3) The Recruitment and Compensation variables together (simultaneously) have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) shows that 65.7% of the variation in Employee Performance can be explained by the Recruitment and Compensation variables, while 34.3% is explained by other factors outside the research model. Based on these findings, companies are advised to continue improving the quality of the recruitment process and evaluate compensation structures to be more competitive and fair.
