Abstract

The word philosophy comes from the Greek "philosophia" which consists of two syllables, namely "philein" which means love and "Sophia" which means "wisdom". So philosophy can be interpreted as "love of wisdom". If it is connected with education, education cannot be separated from philosophy, because philosophy is what forms and gives rise to various patterns of education. Education is very closely related to humans, because philosophy is the main problem for humans as rational beings. From the explanation above, philosophy forms a framework and gives birth to the concept of education that will be carried out by humans, so that philosophy can give meaning to education, in line with the meaning of human nature, in this case philosophy positions itself as the mother of all sciences in education. In connection with the philosophy of science, it is implicit that science will create values ​​and itself to form social implications as a result of the development of science. The philosophy of science studies all knowledge in a complete and comprehensive manner and not only theoretically, but also in a social, cultural and ethical context. Based on the explanation above, studying the philosophy of science gives everyone an understanding to better understand the nature of science and its role in human life activities, so that humans are able to think critically and carry out their responsibilities accurately and measurably.
